Italy
Jon and I had a wonderful trip to Italy. Our vacation can be summed up pretty quickly. We hiked the Amalfi coast. We ate lots of gelato (Italian ice cream). We drank beer from the oldest brewery in the world (this was actually in Germany). We ate amazing pizza and pasta (folks in the states have no idea how to make these things). We enjoyed the hospitality of Italians...some of the most friendly people in the world. We rented an impossibly small car and drove the impossibly small roads of the Amalfi coast. We took a ferry to the island of Capri. We hiked some more. We went to Pompeii - a town completely destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius almost 1000 years ago. We tried limoncello and drank lots of red wine. We decided we are going back to Italy. To see some of our pictures, check out the slideshow on the right.
